The Center on Fathering is located at 325 N. El Paso Street. It opened in June 1995, offers a continuum of services designed to meet the needs of fathers in our community: Education/Training, Support Groups, Outreach, and Resource/Referral. The Center has an extensive library of books, magazines, audio and video tapes, and computer software to help individuals explore issues related to fathering. The Center is staffed with individuals who can assist persons in need of referrals to community resources. The Center is available for workshops and seminars on the responsibilities and challenges of being a father. The Center provides a 15-session program called “Fathering” which teaches dads to be more actively and positively involved in their child’s development. |
