CHILD CARE LICENSING helps ensure children’s safety and well being. Colorado law requires a facility caring for children from more than one family to be licensed. In order to be licensed, a child care facility must comply with a minimum set of health and safety regulations. Licensing, however, does not guarantee competence of staff, day-to-day operation, or detection of changes between licensing visits. It is up to the parent to choose what is best for their children. Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs operates the home inspection and home monitoring portions of this program through a contract with State Human Services.
