Welcome to the Children's Health Plan Plus (CHP+) information page of the El Paso County Depatment of Human Services. CHP+ is health insurance coverage for low-income children (18 years of age and under). CHP+ provides medical benefits including inpatient and outpatient hospital, physician, prescription drugs, dental and mental health care. Depending on the geographic area in which an enrollee lives, services are provided either by an HMO or by a fee-for-service network. Application forms for enrollment in CHP+, Medicaid and Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) are available free of charge. The CHP+ program is not directly administered through the El Paso County Department of Human Services.
